Senior Financial Analyst - Long-Range Forecast & Project Analysis/Strategic Finance
• Deep dive in the Pilot Training process to find different cost saving opportunities & formulate plan to address them (directly saved $2.5M annually and collaboratively with the BU of $15M annually)• Lead the corporate-wide cost-saving initiatives process (Project One Airline) for the largest division in the company• Manage, update and report project status, financial outlook, major milestones, potential issues to the COO for 126 operational projects with $391M in cost savings• Update quarterly 5 Year Forecast for Technical Operations to provide a financial outlook at $12B in total maintenance cost• Used to project maintenance expense, budgeting and quarterly Board of Director financial report• Built an Aircraft Overhaul Maintenance Staffing model to see the 5 year outlook for mechanic requirements to evaluate outsource opportunities in a business-decision scenario • Used by the executives to make a furlough decision to right size the airline based on a reduced fleet & network• Built an updated mechanic labor rate model from internal maintenance cost to disseminate into an average hourly labor rate based on the new Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement contract• Used for planning purposes throughout the company in various ways to project maintenance cost• Reporting working capital status during COVID-19 for the Integrated Operations division to senior leadership• Critical in asking for the company in applying for government grants & loans during these hardships• Problem-solve issues from ad-hoc request by financial analysis & modeling then present results to various levels of leadership• Review & approve aircraft projects from the engineering dept based on the criticality, NPV, methodology & assumptions• Capital responsibilities – managing various asset request accounts, writing business cases, close/forecast, material reclass adjustments
