BUSINESS IMPACT OVERVIEW• Revolutionized the nanoimprint lithography industry with a proven track record of innovation, leadership, and execution for technology development in bio, solar, LED, display, semiconductor, and hard disk drive markets. • Developed cutting edge core technology and led key operations team of a ~$150M venture raised startup company that was acquired by Canon, Inc. • Achieved ground breaking results by providing leadership and direction to cross-functional teams for the release of over 10 nanoimprint lithography products. Results provided higher resolution patterning at lower cost of owner solutions to customers. • Extensive experience related to new product development with critical time constraints sparked interest at other companies, leading to strategic partnerships.• Successfully launched over 6 novel inkjet printhead products, dramatically reducing the drop volume resolution while fulfilling the challenging high volume wafer thru-put requirements. This resulted in more 50 key US and international patents representing the core nanoimprint technology portfolio.INNOVATION & TECH COMMERCIALIZATION IMPACT OVERVIEW• Rebranded and reimagined UT’s Texas Innovation Center to create and foster a community and culture of collaborative research and entrepreneurship.• Developed UT’s Innovation Lab, the first on-campus wet lab incubator for UT startups with an IP-free zone, meaning that new IP created in the lab belongs to the startups.• Developed a front-end innovation ecosystem for UT Austin to commercialize university technologies using needs-driven principles in the med-tech and space tech sectors.• Founded flagship programs: Texas Biodesign, Launch Texas, Startup-In-A-Box• Managed a deep tech portfolio of over 60 university startups derived from research or IP from 2020 to 2022. • Assisted UT startups in raising over $140M in funding from 2020 to 2022, including non-dilutive and private capital that has created over 400 jobs from 2020 to 2022.

Nasa Graduate Research FellowJohns Hopkins University - Chemical Engineering Department Sep 1996 - May 2002Baltimore, Md, UsRESEARCH • Design and conduct experiments to show the surface activity and phase behavior of streptavidin adsorption onto the liquid-vapor interface. Measured and confirmed the dynamic surface tension of streptavidin with Wilhelmy plate and pendant bubble techniques. Imaged surface phase via fluorescence microscopy verifying phase behavior.• Use Marangoni-Bénard convection created in an evaporating drop to pattern gold nanoparticles for constructing 3-dimensional templates with a polygonal network. • Conduct experiments to show Marangoni-Bénard convection occurs in the presence of an insoluble surfactant in a planar geometry for long range particle deposition into polygonal networks.• Established that surfactants at the liquid-gas interface can be used to alter the assembly of suspended particles into patterns on a solid substrate.• Developed and constructed an experimental apparatus to study the role of an insoluble surfactant in patterning small particles contained in an evaporating drop. Experimental apparatus combined techniques from fluorescence microscopy, pendant drop tensiometry, and sessile drop imaging. • Performed equilibrium surface tension experiments by Wilhelmy plate and pendant drop techniques to elucidate the surface activity of lipids and fatty acids monolayers.• Synthesized and characterized Octadecyltrichlorosilane self-assembled monolayers on SiO2 wafers to control the wetting properties of the substrate
