As a Stormwater Consultant, I have several responsibilities. A large portion of my time is spent focusing on regulatory agency’s including the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the Environmental Protection Agency, and several local river authorities. With these groups I try to drive a sensible, economically viable approach to Low Impact Development and water quality. From there, I try to be a voice for the regulatory community twithin the specifying community. Civil Engineers often have questions concerning viability and implementation of water quality features. As a licensed Civil Engineer, I provide a tremendous value to my customers in explaining water quality features and how they can be approached on the standard project. Finally, I spend the last part of my time working with contractors. No matter how great the design is, it is worthless if it cannot be constructed. Spending time with contractors working on pricing estimates and installation question is the final piece of my role at Contech.
