About Van Phan
I am currently a postdoc researcher at the " Institut de Planétologie et d'Astrophysique de Grenoble (IPAG)". My research focuses on the interaction between organic matter and mineralogy in the meteoritic, terrestrial materials, and small solar system bodies (asteroids, comets). After several years of research in fields ranging from (bio)geochemistry to cosmochemistry, I have become familiar with several techniques and instruments for characterizing the liquid and solid phases of terrestrial and extraterrestrial materials. I focus in particular on infrared spectroscopy (FTIR and Micro-FTIR) and Atomic force microscope coupled to infrared spectroscopy (AFM-IR). My prospects are to apply my skills and knowledge to work as a research engineer on the characterization of a wide range of materials, from terrestrial to extraterrestrial origin.
