My full name: Tran Huu Van and Vietnamese's name is called last name "Van". I usually received new as the same name from tourists; "van the man" after every trip. My nickname was given to me by customers of Spiceroad, Indotrek and another local company that i was working for before 2010. I didn't undestand what does it means really?Used to be cycling guide before 2010. Spent a lot of time of very year to scout cycling routes, to tailor-made itineraries for bicycle tours. Started up busines of Vietnam Backroads with some second hand mtb bikes which were brought in Cambodia. It was really hard to buy big large frame mtb bikes here in Vietnam. In fact, there weren't many bike shops in Vietnam before 2013.Founder of Vietnam Backroads in 2010. Specialized in cycling adventure only. Since 2012, I had got more works to do because of international independent cyclists. Who traveled to South East Asia by touring bicycles and all bikes were taken with them all the way from their home. Most of the cyclists from Europe. Having technical problems on bikes and they were unable to continue their owned plan trip! Taken their bikes to office of Vietnam Backroads and asked for help at 42 Cong Quynh Street. It was the company office before 2014.I said: Oh! I'm a not bicycle mechanic! Tourists: Yes, I known but you were an excellent bike guide and you are very good at fixing bike and bicycle maintenance! many recommendations from tourists and you were a guide for them in Vietnam. Since then I have been busy with many tourists and expats day by day. Then an idea came to me and I had Saigon Bike Shop opened.In 2019, our team began to expand business opportunity.
