I worked with translated files to produce beautifully designed finished products that were delivered to our clients. I worked with InDesign, Framemaker, Illustrator, Word, and other layout programs to design layouts. I carefully checked every translated document to make sure that each was clear of errors, and worked with translators to repair any remaining mistakes. In my time at USTC, I successfully saved the company thousands of dollars by designing checklists that prevented future translation and quality assurance mistakes, creating an electronic system for files, and establishing a scheduling pattern for incoming projects.

I balanced the daily income budgets and paid the company bills. I was successful in reorganizing the company’s entire filing system, archiving everything on a digital system with easy search access. I also proofread and edited all blog, email, and website content before it was presented to customers.

I supervised and mentored teenage girls with psychological and emotional disorders. I talked with them about world issues and helped them to maintain good standards and to make and achieve personal goals. I communicated frequently and maintained an appropriate relationship with students’ parents, keeping them updated on the girls’ achievements. As an assistant supervisor, I was also in charge of making the shift run smoothly by confirming that my cohorts were on task and had all questions answered.
