I am the founder of The Hire Connection, a physician/provider search firm, providing a very unique blueprint that helps academic and non-academic organizations throughout the United States secure talent for their organizations. I was born in Orange, Texas and grew up in Lake Charles, LA. After graduating from Southwestern University just outside of Dallas, TX, I took a shot at a music dream as a vocalist in Nashville, TN and other cities in the Northeast. After reaching my self-imposed time limit on becoming a vocal star, I joined family in Dallas, TX. There I spent a year selling Dale Carnegie programs during the day and waiting tables in the evening, before taking a job with Merritt Hawkins & Associates in the physician recruiting arena. I still have great memories of that experience and think of MHA as where I grew up as a professional. That experience taught me and hundreds of others like me, a work ethic that propelled me in future business. After Dallas, I moved to Columbia, MO when I accepted a position with Tenet Healthcare, where here I managed 13 primary care clinics throughout Mid-Missouri. To my dismay, the hospital was soon sold to the University of MO and ultimately, my position eliminated. After learning of my fate only 8 months after relocating to Columbia, I circled back to what I genuinely loved and ramped up my first recruiting firm, Timeline Recruiting. I built the company into a thriving success then sold Timeline Recruiting in 2006. In 2010 I started my second physician recruiting firm, The Hire Connection; I believed there was a better way to source talent for hospitals and clinics, and that was through technology.
