I am a senior restoration ecologist and project manager with more than 25 years of experience planning, designing, and implementing restoration and mitigation projects in riparian, wetland, grassland, oak woodland, and forested habitats in California. I specialize in large-scale conservation and mitigation planning, including multi-benefit projects that integrate ecosystem restoration and natural resource management with flood protection, recreation, agriculture, and urban planning. Most of my work over the past 15 years has been focused on supporting State and local flood and water resources agencies. Prior to that, I spent time getting my hands dirty implementing ecosystem restoration projects in Northern California, supporting development of environmental education programs, and helping farmers and ranchers be good stewards of the land. I enjoy bringing my extensive on-the-ground experience managing construction of ecological restoration, habitat mitigation, river and stream restoration, and biotechnical erosion control projects in California to working with clients to plan and design projects that result in meaningful ecological change.
