Hello! My name is Vance Ray and I am passionate about business and education. My desire is to see people achieve a fuller life and, out of an overflow of that fullness, find ways to contribute to their personal growth, family and community. For this reason I want to pursue a career in both of these areas.I am currently involved in two family businesses. Participant Motors is a car company and Academy Development is a property management and real estate investment company. Working for these companies from a young age has taught me the importance of hard work as well as the impact good businesses can have on communities and individuals. Although I love business, education is my greatest passion. My family has a history of supporting education in my hometown of Bastrop, Texas and I inherited that same passion from them. I am in the process of restructuring a school into a K-6 elementary school. My goal is to create an educational environment that nurtures wholistic growth in its students and is also interactive, innovative and entrepreneurial. I believe this approach will allow the students to cultivate their innate creativity and enhance their problem-solving ability, ultimately, equipping them to use their giftings in a way that leads to human flourishing.
