Key Responsibilities-The duties of a Collections Specialist include collection calls and/or correspondence in a fast paced goal oriented collections department.-Providing customer service regarding collection issues, process customer refunds, Financial Service process and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments. Responsible for Compliance and maintaining assigned accounts- Customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write off, customer reconciliations and validation of credit memos.-Accountable for reducing delinquency in documentation for assigned accounts.-Perform regulatory reporting and other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable Department.-research on delinquent accounts through multiple resources. -Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process.-Communicate & follow up effectively with sales dept regarding customer accounts on a timely basis.-Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and customers through cultural awareness programs. Essential FunctionsWeekly and monthly reporting to direct supervisorMonthly Delinquency noticesProcessing monthly credit memos and the appropriate reportingHigh volume phone calls to assigned delinquent customersManage customers on the shutdown report.Reconcile customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances that are dueProvide excellent & considerate customer service to dealers and salesInternal and External customer interfaceSkills4 years High Volume corporate Collections experience, new employee training and developmentKnowledge of Billing and Collections proceduresAccounts Receivable knowledgeStrong attention to details, goal orientedExperience with QuickBooks, Excel VBAExcellent written and verbal English communication abilitiesAbility to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
