Vandana is a full-stack marketing and communications professional from India with a diverse background spanning engineering, journalism, and strategic management. Currently based in Washington DC, she manages communications, outreach, impact measurement, and business development initiatives for projects in healthcare, climate action, racial equity and democratising data using GenAI for the Center for Open Data Enterprise - a nonprofit focused on putting open data into action for the public good - as part of the Atlas Corps / AIF Banyan Impact Fellowship for service in the US. Formerly an engineer and a journalist, she has over 12 years of diverse experience working with academia, startups, government, and media. Vandana holds a bachelor's in engineering and a master's in journalism bringing a unique blend of analytical problem-solving acumen and storytelling. In the past, she has worked with the Indian School of Business, Business Standard, IIT Gandhinagar, IIM Ahmedabad, National Innovation Foundation – India, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, and health tech startup Shivom.
