As a Mechanical Design Engineer I am responsible for the mechanical and overall design of different products. During the design process I work together with multiple competence specialists. Together we explore the boundaries of what is possible with current materials and manufacturing technology to get the best possible state-of-the-art design. As a Mechananization Engineer I was responsible for the automation and optimization of injection mould production processes and product assembly in a very dynamic environment with production runs of on average only 48 hours. Projects• Automation of product picking from injection moulding machines using KUKA robots. • Proof of concept development of an automated quality inspection routine integrated into an injection moulding cycle using machine vision.• Feasibility and pilot study of production automation using a collaborative robot (UR 10) combined with machine vision.
