CurrentFor 40 years, I have been an independent filmmaker and photographer who prefers openings to closings. With a camera in hand, my eyes and ears are always open to new experiences. I have visited more than 50 countries, producing work both independently and for various counterparts, including broadcasters, the United Nations, the Red Cross, and the European Commission.Throughout my career, I have created numerous documentaries, commercials, corporate films, and music videos. My photographic work dates back to the 1970s, with a focus on urban subjects, portraits, and commissioned assignments.My approach focuses on the human aspects of a story, as stories are at the heart of the human experience. Projected on a screen, stories are a safe way for viewers to step outside their comfort zone and connect with other human beings. A way to make the screen an opening...In addition to creating my own work, I have collaborated closely with film directors as a dramaturge and artistic advisor, helping them to structure their stories. These collaborations have resulted in several award-winning films, including one that opened the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam and another that was nominated for an Oscar.I like to wander.
