Commodity Manager
Current• Manage the BIN commodity (plastics) for AutoStore, working with injection molding manufacturers and projects• Build and lead the BIN commodity operations team of Supplier Quality Engineers• Source and expand the AutoStore plastics manufacturer base by 5x across five continents and continue to expand the manufacturer footprint based on market and customer demands• Develop the manufacturer's frame agreement, procedures, processes, and structure for efficient management and development of AutoStore plastics manufacturers• Develop the structure for assessing and onboarding new manufacturers in AutoStore with stages, deliverables, and timelines. Own the manufacturer expansion pipeline for the upcoming 2-3 years• Establish the commodity management process across the different AutoStore systems: PowerBI, Salesforce, and the Landax document control system. Clearly understand and visualize business demands, manufacturer overview, and tool lifecycle. • Improve the revenue realization from AutoStore manufacturers through process control establishment from sales to delivery value chain• Continuously analyze sales forecasts and plan manufacturer sourcing and onboarding in the required regions to ensure the necessary supply capacity• Proactively supervise the component and raw material markets to timely detect trends and development• Benchmarking, performing cost analysis, leading manufacturer negotiations, and managing frame agreements• Support the AutoStore partners with preferred manufacturers• Working closely with the Product Manager, Quality, and R&D departments, ensuring all related project phases closure on time and all parts sourced adequately within the agreed timeframe• Coordination and scheduling of the prototyping tools and product samples• Identifying new technologies to create design change opportunities• Strategic and operational management of manufacturer tools, machines, and equipment• Manufacturer development, including audits and benchmarking
