I started working at Albert's Diamond Jeweler's around the Thanksgiving weekend of 2014. Since they wanted to postpone on training me until the summer of 2015, due to me being a seasonal worker, my tasks were wrapping gifts and counting inventory. I would sometimes participate in sales for practicing purposes without commission, which was the task I most enjoyed. I would also make the customers feel welcome by initiating small talk or leading them to what merchandise they were looking for.

For two summers consecutively, I tutored academically challenged children between the ages of 6 and 14. Normally, I helped with reading comprehension, phonics, and spelling; however I would sometimes help the older children with algebra and geometry. I would also plan games, both for education and recess, and helped during lunch and snack time. The most difficult component was making sure the children behaved during learning time, but I thoroughly enjoyed working with them and developed relationships with each one individually.
