I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with over a decade of progressive experience in the human services field, committed to empowering individuals and advancing community well-being. My work spans community development, school social work, social justice, advocacy, mental health, gerontology, and healthcare, where I focus on serving both visible and invisible minorities in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments.Currently, I work as an Integrated Child Protection & Child in Care Worker, a role I've held for nine years, where I support children, youth, and families by delivering solution-focused brief counselling, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed assessments. My practice is anchored in an anti-oppressive, strengths-based approach, with regular clinical supervision to ensure high-quality, client-centered care.In pursuit of broader impact, I am advancing my expertise by pursuing a Master's in Social Work at Dalhousie University, alongside completing a field placement with the Social Planning Council of Ottawa.
