I became the Editor-in-Chief of the print and online newspaper outlets after being a writer and page editor. This is where my self teaching of graphic design most took off. I created graphics, helped with page design and story concepts, and copy-edited. I led a 40-person staff and won the highest award our division could attain for student journalism: The Hoosier Star.
