Vanessa is a nationally recognized expert in the eDiscovery, practice technology and legal projectmanagement fields. Currently, she is the Global Manager of Practice Technology Services at Gibson Dunn. In this role, Vanessa is responsible for infusing innovation and process efficiency into the overall delivery of legal services to clients by the Litigation practice groups and associated support departments. Vanessa works closely with the Litigation practice groups on a strategic and tactical level, from providing general direction to setting budgets and managing business goals, implementing new technology and process improvements to streamline work, reduce cost and achieve competitive advantage.Additionally, Vanessa leads a team of technology professionals responsible for delivering cost effective legal technology services and providing consultative direction, to internal and external clientele, pertaining to electronic evidence management and general eDiscovery issues.With over 16 years of experience in the legal and technology services arenas and over 13 years in AM Law 100 firm environments, Vanessa has handled the development, staffing, and management of litigation technology service departments including the implementation of revenue generating legal business models. In addition to leveraging technology to provide innovative solutions to clients, Vanessa provides expertise on complex discovery issues involved in properly identifying, preserving, harvesting, minimizing, reviewing and producing electronically stored information (“ESI”).As part of the development and deployment of strategic initiatives for international law firms, Vanessa regularly works with all levels of management and practicing professionals across multiple international jurisdictions. At Gibson Dunn, Vanessa routinely interacts with partners and clients, including regular participation in business development pitches with clients.
