I was seconded and then Joined the newly created Resident Engagement Team in March 2020. I support the small team in the effective strategic delivery of positive and meaningful engagement and involvement with our 25,000 residents who live in the west of England. I lead on development &implementation of new resides groups and resident led services, which involves events and face-face meetings and unsociable hours of work. I have developed a community champion’s programme including training packages and recruitment of residents to take part. I have set up sub-groups to enable the business to have honest and timely access to data , insight and information .

I lead on all aspects of the community development work for the Foxhill regeneration/refurbishment programme at a specialist strategic, operational and community level including community, stakeholder and resident activity. I research and develop new work streams including project design, development and implementation for Curo Homes in the Foxhill housing estate in Bath. My work also includes leading and delivering local community development, training, meetings and events and delivering an operational governance & resident engagement plan.l lead on the development and implementation of a 10 year social and economic plan for Foxhill and Mulberry Park Including the the management of a £20k Community Chest Grant Programme including the awarding and monitoring of this grant. I lead and manage 3 external contracts in excess of £100k and monitor these contractors and other external partners in the voluntary sector and local government in Bath & North Somerset Unitary Authority area. I am the Community Development lead for Curo Places on all new refurbishment programmes across the former Avon authority area.

As Community Engagement Manager I led on all aspects of stakeholder and resident engagement for the proposed regeneration programme in Foxhill, Bath, a post war former council housing estate. tasks included engagement & development with existing local resident, resident involvement and engagement in the development of a £10 million new community facility including development & implementation of high level fundraising and business plan. I led on the procurement & recruitment plan for a 2-year externally funded independent advisor programme in Foxhill. I developed and set up from scratch a new resident & stakeholders engagement structure. I was responsible for the management & delivery of £20k local community grants programme. I also lead on the research & development of our new communities strategy and resident engagement for a brand new housing development of 700 units in Mulberry Park estate in Bath.

Community Investment Manager leading a team of 10 in all aspects of operational and strategic resident involvement and community investment activities and engagement at Somer CHT, Redland HA and then Curo Group. Tasks included the lead officer role for all business wide community investment opportunities, line management of 10 direct reports and delivery of day to day to day strategic and operational activities with residents and board members including the research, consultation and implementation of a new 5 year Resident Voice Engagement Strategy. Department budget of approx £700k per annum including management of two grant programmes (70k).

Newly created post to assist Chief Executive. Key tasks included the set up and development of a new organisational development plan, including a well researched fundraising strategy for board to approve. Responsible for delivery and implementation of new funding plan including submission of grants to government, local government, trusts and high net worth individuals. I was also responsible for maintenance and monitoring of all contract income which also included identification of new contract income and building up new contract income with local authority partners. Lead role of all publicity and promotion including external events, social media, partner/private sector promotion opportunities and responsible for the development & production of a quarterly magazine and annual report. Held £500k individual programme budget for new projects that I successfully fundraised for.

Chief Officer to rural community council covering former Avon geographical area. Overall responsibility and lead for a small community development team of 7 and organisations £750k p.a budget. Organisation was part of national organisation with 38 other regional organisations across England. As lead officer my responsibility also included active partnerships and representations at Board level, becoming a Chair or board member rep for a range of small (50k), medium (250k) and large (3 million) external voluntary sector groups and institutions. Appointment as lead designated officer on designing and developing the regional development, peer mentoring and internal bespoke training of the 8 senior leaders and Chief Executive Officers in the South West rural community council network for 2 years.

I was appointed and joined the Charity as office manager at age 22 following it’s official launch as a medical Charity and was promoted to the post of deputy director 3 years later by the Board. I was an operational and Strategic Deputy Director for the newly appointed CEO in all aspects of running and managing a new national Charity. Directly Responsible for 8 direct reports and for over 40 staff and hundreds of patient volunteers. And a membership list of 12,000. I led on all the strategic and operational funding, fundraising and finance for the Charity until we could afford to recruit more staff. I was the lead colleague on the set up and organisation of a capital & revenue funding plan for a National headquarters appeal where I obtained 3/4 (1.5 million)of the funds in 2 years prior to going on maternity leave. I was successful in raising over £2m per annum to run the Charity with an assistant through trusts, companies, sponsorships, high net worth individuals (including the royal family), and from patient membership fees. I set up and led on the management of a voluntary medical sub-committee and organised the internationally recognised bi-annual medical conferences in the UK. I led on setting up 4 regional offices and recruited England wide patient committees and fundraising groups. Full member of IPR group until maternity leave (9 years). (Maternity leave Dec 94-June 95)
