Over the years I've come to embrace the idea that our difference is what defines us. My path to success was not always clear, but I have found success in all of my endeavours.Continuous education and personal development are my favourite tools. They help me remain open to new experiences and ideas, to remind myself that learning is forever and that different opinions can lead to extraordinary results. Most of my career has been involved with the Supply Chain at various levels. This line of work is not for the feint of heart, change is inevitable and decision making is crucial to success. Most would describe me as leader a mentor, and someone who gets results. At UPS I was promoted to to the International Coordinator position, they noted my exceptional interpersonal skills, and unique approach to problem management. At Martin Brower my critical thinking skills gave way to specialized opportunities, one where I was selected to undergo national training utilizing Paragon Software. Canada Cartage saw value in all of my abilities, and presented me with the opportunity to lead their Winnipeg warehouse division as their General Manager. This experience helped to highlight all of my strengths. Budget creation and financial management, leading to increased EBITDA year over year. Account management, improving margins for underperforming contracts. Project management, reorganizing warehouse operations and asset planning to support business plan.My story to date wouldn't be complete without my most recent success. I took a leap and decided to expand my financial acumen at Maka Power. With a small amount of trepidation and a large amount of desire, I excelled as the company Controller. In my first year I was able to reduce DSO by 25% and increase cash flow to a recurring positive. Fortunately, this small business also allowed me to highlight my organizational skill set. All administrative departments fell under my scope, and it was a thrill developing programs for Human Resources, Safety, and Operations Applications. I'm a person who welcomes a challenge, and loves to learn. I thrive in any environment where I can collaborate with shareholders, and work towards a well defined vision. If you're likeminded or inspired by my story please feel free to connect.
