I have a passion for helping others learn and succeed. With more than twenty years' experience as a Latin teacher and private tutor, I have taught all levels of Latin from sixth grade through high school advanced placement at various private schools in the Washington, DC area. I strive to provide an interactive learning environment that inspires students to increase their understanding of and interest in Latin.Colleagues describe me as a collaborative teacher with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse population of students, parents, co-workers, and school administrators. Although I enjoy all aspects of teaching, I believe the best use of my talent lies in my ability to quickly ascertain the individual needs of students and patiently help them achieve academic successIn addition to my experience and personal qualities, I hold a Masters of Arts in Latin, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Arts in Classics, graduating cum laude from Williams College.
