• Provided overall leadership and management for the successful implementation of the Bangladesh Knowledge Management Initiative (BKMI), a $3 million USAID-funded project based in Bangladesh and led by CCP, focusing on strengthening health, population and nutrition (HPN) social and behavior change communication (SBCC) and knowledge management capacity through technical assistance within the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), strengthening HPN communication coordination within key units of the MOHFW, and developing digital knowledge management systems for capturing and disseminating HPN information.• Developed priorities, assigned responsibilities, managed workplan, subcontracts, budgets and monitoring and evaluation reports, and liaised with CCP HQ, the USAID mission, the MOHFW and other partners.• Developed strategies to strengthen health systems and better coordinate BCC and KM among three key HPN units of the MOHFW.• Assisted local research agency to design, implement, monitor and evaluate the BKMI eHealth pilot, whereby HPN digital libraries (eToolkits) and eLearning courses for community level health workers are uploaded to 300 netbooks, and 300 existing personal computers.• Coordinated with USAID, MOHFW units, and NGO community through meetings, working groups, gave presentations as needed on BKMI activities and advised on BCC and KM needs in country.• Provided capacity assessment, technical assistance and capacity building to Institute of Public Health Nutrition (IPHN) in the areas of nutrition BCC and KM as the Nutrition Technical Advisor to the MOHFW.• Reviewed IPHN’s existing nutrition BCC strategy and operation plans, assisted in work plan and program development, and supported development of new nutrition information, education and communication materials.• Participated and improved coordination of Nutrition Working Group and BCC Working Group activities and developed platform for information exchange.
