The MinCo Steering Board is the body above these groups to facilitate collaboration, manages and allocates ~$100,000 of funding annually for minority causes, and serve as liasons with Williams' administration for the MinCo groups. As communications director, I work alongside MinCo groups to plan events, send out a weekly newsletter, make sure minority students needs are heard, and facilitate communication between MinCo groups, MinCo Steering Board, and Williams administration.

As secretary, I maintained accurate records and minutes of steering committee meetings, coordinated general and funding meetings for MinCo groups, disperse funding requests, advocate for minorities' needs on campus, and send out MinCo-wide newsletters.

Conducting in-depth research on Black feminist thought, critical race theory, and intersectionality to analyze the lives of Black women and girls. Researching under the purview of Kimberlé Crenshaw, Dr. Venus Evans-Winters, and other world-renowned sociologists in civil rights, gender, and race.

Only top 2-3% out of over 5,000 applicants are invited to join and receive networking within the Ron Brown alumni network.

Completed two 6 week summer academies at Amherst College and the University of Chicago. Completed college-level writing/math courses, completed a one-week coding course with Giant Machines in HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Attended college tours and college information sessions with top institutions around the country. Received over 500 hours of academic preparation and college counseling. Worked at AKALA, a Netflix-featured, Google-backed education tech company, to expand college access by making the college admissions process more equitable and affordable for all. Found potential partners for AKALA through contacting high school parent student organizations, companies' HR departments, Williams College alumni, and ethnic organizations. Marketed AKALA to said potential partners through virtual pitch meetings, resulting in 4 new partners for the company in less than a month.
