Vanessa Silberman is a Singer, Songwriter, Multi-Instrumentalist and Record Producer from Brooklyn, NY (via Los Angeles, CA). She also runs an Artist Development Record Label called A Diamond Heart Production, which was established in 2013 and launched in 2014. The label has a catalog of over 100 releases and has continued to rapidly grow with the addition of 5 sub-labels and label / studio collaborations.In June 2021 Alternative Press Magazine named Vanessa and her label 1 of 11 LGBTQIA+ AND WOMEN-OWNED LABELS THAT ARE CHANGING THE MUSIC INDUSTRY. Vanessa works closely with bands and artists to help them develop different aspects of their career focusing on Artist Development, Recording, Release plans, Strategy, Branding, Imaging, Marketing, Song Writing, Booking / Touring, and Social Media as well as Grass Roots Marketing. The label also offers a very community driven home and spirit on the label side as well as distribution (via Symphonic Distribution) for releases. The label prides itself on being an Artist Friendly Music Company with Old School Record Label Traits & a New School State of Mind in the digital age. Widely known for having a very strong DIY ethic and extensive music background as well as wearing many different hats in the music business —Some of Vanessa’s biggest career highlights range from working for heavy hitter's such as Producer and Songwriter Dr.Luke (Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Brittney) and companies such as Epitaph Records as well to her interning during her early music business days at guitarist Steve Vai's Record Label Favored Nations and at Warner Chappell in the A&R dept.In the studio, Silberman has engineered for everyone from Tony Visconti (David Bowie, T Rex), Kimbra, Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) to Harper Simon and worked as the in-house assistant engineer at Studio 606 (the Foo Fighters Studio in Los Angeles, CA, where she trained on the 8028 Sound City Neve) and has assisted for everyone from The Kills, Joan Jett to Blue Traveler and James Williamson (of Iggy Pop and the Stooges). She’s worked at dozens of studios around the world from The Village Recording in Los Angles to BOP Recording Studio in South Africa.Prior to 2020, on the artist side, Vanessa toured extensively playing and booking over 800 shows (between 2015-2020) across the U.S. as well as in the UK and Europe. Audiofemme.com named the touring singer and guitarist one of the hardest working bands of 2019, 2018 as well as 2017).Vanessa is also currently part of the alternative pop duo Lovecolor with actor musician Ryan Carnes.
