- Responsible for the overall management of the accounts, financial reporting, costs, budget controls and IT. Responsible for managing the over financial performance of the business and for effectively leading and developing the Finance Department and team. - Team consists of 4 employees, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost & Management Accountant & IT Manager.- Objectives are to Manage, Develop & lead the finance department, Financial reporting, Maintain Tax Compliance & Statutory requirements, Price File Management, IT, Management Reporting & Cost Reporting.

- 2 working day month end close.- Review & analyse Retail Profit & Loss & Balance sheet results on a monthly basis and report to the business.- Manage three store accountants and one banking officer.- Assist the store accountants in resolving any financial queries or issues they have around the retail business, or any process improvements. - Send out monthly profit and loss reports to the retail business and respond/action any queries- Retail Incentive calculations and reporting. Also involved in setting the scheme with the business partners- Working very closely with the Retail Business providing support and any ad hoc information required with respect to processes, systems, improvements, efficiencies and business decisions- ABS & New Zealand Statistical Reporting Quarterly- Reporting to our Regional office on a monthly basis- Managed Retail stock take completion and result reporting and analysis on a quarterly basis- Analysing all debts each month for the entire business that are old, and where there may be issues, together with the business leaders and Accounts Receivable department to analyse any potential risk of not receiving the debt and establish what provision need me made.- Working on the sale of the NZ Retail business - providing information and analysing accuracy of the balance sheet and profit and loss- Was part of the transitioning of General Accounting functions from NZ to AU. Successfully transitioned all Retail Accounting functions from NZ to AU and created efficiencies and improvements to those processes.- Process improvements & creating efficiencies in our processes in particular around our month end close- Internal Controls and SOX experience

• Preparation and Completion of the FBT return for two entities• Preparation and Completion of the Income Tax Return for two entities• Completion of the BAS return on a monthly basis• Completion of the US Tax Pack for two entities• Completion of FIN 48 on a quarterly Basis• Lodgement and payment preparation for the Payroll Tax on a monthly and Annual basis• Completion of ETR on a monthly basis• Monthly Pension Accruals (Liaising with Goodyear USA and Actuaries) • FAS 87 Assumptions and FAS 132 Asset Reporting on a yearly basis (Liaising with Actuaries and Goodyear USA)• Preparation of the Tax Note for the Statutory Accounts• Month end completion (2 day close off period)• Reconcile Balance Sheet items• General Ledger Analysis• Liaising with the Regional Tax Manager in completing the Income Tax Return, FBT Return, Tax Note, US Tax Pack, ETR, monthly income tax journal and all Tax related Regional reporting• Liaising with outside parties; ATO, PwC, Deloitte; in completing certain tasks (ITR, FBT)• Managing the Aviation and Distribution Accountant (including completion of PMP)• Ensuring accurate month end completion of Aviation and Distribution business• Ensuring an accurate Aviation & Distribution stocktake has been booked • Attendance at one stocktake location to complete random checks to ensure accuracy• Ensure all Aviation and Distribution queries or issues are resolved effectively and efficiently• Involvement in cut over from JDE to SAP. Ensured all Aviation, Distribution and Taxation were rolled over accurately. Worked together with SAP consultants and the business owners to ensure SAP processes were able to meet the demands of these business areas.
