Graduated with my PhD from Florida International University in May 2017. My dissertation work focused on South Florida Ecology and nonnative species.My vision is to develop a world class botanical garden which is a leader in science, conservation, and educational programs. I am passionate about bringing together stakeholders, scientists, and the public with the common goal of conserving and learning about our world’s biodiversity. Conservation & Sustainability – Botanical gardens, park systems, and nature preserves are often the first places people come into contact and get to experience the natural world. Having a positive early life memory that continues through adulthood is what creates passion for conservation and preservation of our world. I want to help give these experiences, train, and mentor our next generation of conservationists and environmental advocates.
