About Vanessa Tanner

I was a secondary school English teacher for 15 years. I retrained as an EFL teacher after completing a Masters in Linguistics at UCL. and the CELTA at a local college. I worked in Oman from 2012 to 2018 and met my husband there. We now live in Devizes.. I was working remotely and part-time as secretariat (their word, not mine!) for Environmental Protection UK, a charity aiming to effect policy change in the areas of air quality, land contamination and noise. This charity has now merged with the Institute for Environmental Studies. I am currently volunteering at various local organisations and writing.I'm also a Devizes Town Councillor for the Devizes Guardians, an independent and local party.
