My name is Vanessa Andazola and I have always been a very hard worker, not because I wanted to but because I found myself forced to. I paid for my college education all by my self without the help of any grants or scholarships for about 2 years. I have had all kinds of jobs through out my life. I've worked for ranchers doing hard work, I have been self employed, and worked for corporations like Family Dollar. I have learned from every single job I have had, no matter how much I disliked it at the time. Being an assistant manager at Family Dollar taught me about leadership. When working for ranchers I mostly did field work like picking watermelon, hoeing weeds, etc.. and learned about appreciation and humbleness. Now that I am a babysitter I am learning about patience. My dream is to be an artist and make a living out of it. As an amateur painter I have sold a couple of my paintings and the feeling of pride and accomplishment is something that I want to keep experiencing.
