I believe we shouldn’t just “be the change,” but take action. Regardless of what it is, if it strikes you, do something about it – whether that’s education, clean water or air, or something else that ignites your passion.Professionally and personally, my primary focus and contribution is: identifying a challenge, surveying perspectives, determining underlying needs to distill into top priorities, and defining individual and team actions to create mutually beneficial and measurable outcomes (and often process improvements as well). Working in real estate earlier in my career, I gained a deep understanding of how land development impacts the environment. I realized I brought a unique business perspective, the ability to balance competing needs and goals, with an inherent talent for effective advocacy. Shifting to energy efficiency - with increasing roles and responsibilities - allowed me to apply my skills and abilities while enjoying constant learning. Forever curious, with an unusual mix of an engineer’s brain and high EQ, I’m a creative pragmatist and collaborative problem-solver who seeks out diverse perspectives. I bring a servant-leader approach to every role, from driving cross-functional initiatives to relationship-building and business development.I’m at my best when I’m contributing as an individual and also motivating others, individually and in teams, to participate, engage, take action - working on what’s really needed.
