I'm an experienced professional open to new and exciting endeavors. I have worked in higher education for 12 years in a variety of positions. Throughout my tenure, one area I have focused on is training and development of new Academic Advisors by creating comprehensive training programs through the use of instructor led and asynchronous learning experiences. Within these programs, I created training curriculums and facilitated trainings for advisors. Currently, I am an Associate Director in the College of Liberal Arts at California State University. In my department, I onboard new advisors and facilitate new advisor training during their first year with our office. In addition to training, I am heavily involved in creating e-learning modules for mandatory first-year advising.Recently, I completed my Master's in Educational Technology with an emphasis on E-Learning and New Media where I utilized tools such as Articulate, Camtasia, and Adobe Suite Programs including Dreamweaver, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and InDesign. My goal after this program is to incorporate Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in my future training and development opportunities. I am interested in utilizing learning theory, specifically with adults, to enhance my training modules and build a training environment that supports all types of learners.I am open to all networking opportunities to grow my professional resume.
