• Investigate drug binding and mechanism of action, biomarker discovery, and target discovery, quantitation, and validation through global and targeted proteomics.• Develop and utilize an array of proteomic and biochemical techniques including aseptic cell culture and dosing, protein extraction and digestion from cells, tissue, and biofluids, target enrichment through chemical affinity and immunoprecipitation, post translational mapping and enrichment, protein identification and quantitation through labeled and label-free proteomics in complex samples, and supporting biochemical assays. • Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and design methods for offline bRP UHPLC and LCMS including Oribtrap Fusion Lumos, Q-Exactive HF-X, and TSQ Quantiva. • Analyze and interpret data using statistical approaches and a suite of software tools such as Proteome Discoverer, MaxQuant, and Skyline. • Collaborate with other scientists, groups, and project teams as well as present and participate in scientific discussion.

Developed purification methods and characterized recombinant protein expressed in bacterial and mammalian expression systems to support multiple downstream users including structural biology, phage display, antibody generation and reagent proteins. Collaborated with members from several projects, and presented data at team and project group meetings. Analyzed protein expression via Western blotting.

Designed an in vivo simulating 3D chemotaxis protocol utilizing a collagen hydrogel scaffold, growth factors, synovial derived mesenchymal stems cells, Ibidi μ-slide assay, and time lapse microscopy for the purpose of cartilage regeneration. Worked in a biosafety level 2 lab, applied appropriate sterile lab techniques, and maintained lab supplies. Analyzed chemotaxis using ImageJ, cell tracking, and migration and chemotaxis tool.

Contributed to development and testing of BrainMaker, a software for reconstructing digital 3D brains from individually scanned sections. Scanned, measured, and analyzed brain sections from multiple researchers to compile data on dimensions and general anatomy of an average brain for automated software recognition.
