Also assists in the development and implementation of health equity strategies, tools, interventions, and policy levers to eliminate social, health, and economic intersectional barriers for the intellectual development disability and autism population in order to achieve optimal health. The role of the Health Equity Advisor contributes to the achievement of Woods’ innovation-based health equity policy goals through new forms of healthcare reimbursement, integrated community, social, and healthcare redesign, payer/provider engagement, partnership strategies, and inclusion of the disability community with lived experiences.
