• Development and assessment of complex, multi-stakeholder agreements through the Homelessness Partnering Strategy (HPS) for Calgary, AB and Iqaluit, Nunavut. • Advisory to the Community Action Boards (CAB) both for the Aboriginal Standing Committee on Housing and Homelessness in Calgary, and the Niksiit Committee in Iqaluit.• Management of contribution agreements and grants for all program lines: Homelessness Partnership Initiative, Youth Employment Strategy, Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities and New Horizons for Seniors, including negotiation, contracting, financial accountability, monitoring and evaluating results. • Developed partnerships between other federal government departments: INAC – Office of the Federal Interlocutor for Métis and Non-Status Indians, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), HPS, and provincial departments: Alberta Employment and Immigration (AE&I) and Seniors and Community Supports.• Development of funding strategies for Calgary and area.• Community engagement initiatives for youth and seniors.• Capacity building with not-for-profit agenciesTemporary Foreign Worker Program (Assignment - 2003)• Actively worked with employers seeking to bring in temporary foreign workers.• Issued labour market opinions.• Extensive knowledge of local and regional labour markets.
