In October 2021, my mother had a life-altering stroke that left her lame on her left side. She was the main coordinator and caretaker for my dad’s many health appointments, so I acquired the care for both of them. After a few months, I decided to step away from my full-time job to be present for my parents as well as maintain my own mental, physical, and emotional well-being. I am fortunate enough to have found a part-time position with flexibility. Being a caretaker is extremely hard but rewarding.

After 8 years in NYC in digital media, I decided to leave and go travel the world. I learned invaluable life lessons like new cultural perspectives, what my own impact on the world is and could be, how to truly live in the present moment, and how I respond to adverse situations and crises. I also acquired more tangible skills like studying Thai massage, more yoga trainings, and surfing. The first year was was dedicated to strictly being in different countries and learning about myself, and the other 3 years was dedicated to teaching and hosting yoga retreats (27 total), and practicing and studying Thai massage. I visited 18 countries in those 4 years, going between SE Asia and Europe. I spent significant time in Croatia, Morocco, Thailand, Indonesia, and Portugal.
