I have been directly involved in the textile industry for 15 years, gaining extensive and valuable knowledge in yarn and textiles in regards to selecting stock products for specific garment applications. Complimented by my skills of Marketing, the company brand and products are bought to the forefront of the rag trade through powerful print and on-line media.The Textile Design area involves research in yarn and product development, including visiting international trade fairs, and forming relationships and communication with on-going and new suppliers. Forecasting colour, design, and creating textile prints is also undertaken, achieving specifically designed and selected stock fabrics for our end markets.Marketing the company brand, plus promoting new and existing product ranges is achieved through 10 years experience of Graphic Design skills using CS5 applications. Extensive program skills include Photoshop, Illustrator, and In-Design, creating powerful print media advertising within key magazines of the Rag trade. E-marketing campaigns following the continually evolving opportunities in on-line marketing is also created and maintained. Applications include skill in using mass e-mail programs and flash advertising banners.Social Media including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and an Eclipse Blog is the next step in my on-line marketing experience. Gaining training and knowledge in this new area, and being able engaging with our customers and garment end users through this medium will be very powerful.
