Collaborating with Indigenous communities has been a particularly enriching experience, as I have learned from their profound knowledge and wisdom about land stewardship and sustainability.In my current role as an Environmental Coordinator with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, I implement environmental policies, procedures, and standards, providing expert guidance to Ministry staff and consultants on various environmental issues. These include fish and wildlife species and their habitat, sensitive habitats and Species-At-Risk, migratory birds and regulations, water quality and sustainability, and archaeological interests. I oversee all environmental aspects of ministry projects and programs, including conducting environmental assessments and studies, developing cost-effective and practical solutions, and ensuring compliance with relevant environmental legislation. This includes considering innovative and effective approaches in ecological restoration, wildlife crossings and facilitating ecological connectivity.I am always open to connecting with like-minded professionals who share a passion for environmental sustainability and innovative solutions.
