Department Description: Held during the first four days of the Festival, the annual Writers Conference celebrates the writer’s contribution to film, television, and new media. It features panels and events that cover the art, craft, and business of storytelling as told by leading Hollywood showrunners, writers, directors, producers, managers, agents, and industry executives. Past panelists include David Benioff & D.B. Weiss, Greta Gerwig, Bill Hader, Lulu Wang, and Keenen Ivory Wayans. 2024 panelists include diverse perspective of industry roles from Netflix, Pixar, Amazon studios etc. Job Description: - Working directly with the Creative Director to coordinate panels, conduct research on potential speakers, topics, and industry trends; write copy for programmed panels, and assist with marketing efforts- This is an opportunity to gain experience in both the film and event planning industries- During the Conference, Creative interns will have the unique opportunity to act as Room Mangers for Conference events, allowing them to interact with and host our renowned panelists and moderators, manage a space, and gain access to more Conference content than any of our other volunteer or internship positions Job Responsibilities:- Assist Conference Department with Conference preparation including research on potential candidates, marketing initiatives, compiling materials, and pitching and writing content for AFF’s website- Manage panel rooms during the Conference, greeting panelists and moderators while leading a team of volunteers- Equal access in both event production and film industry- Assist with adapting some or all of the conference events for the virtual space

Drift isn't just an opportunity to create content, it's a chance to see what's out there and go for it.The Events and Outreach department is responsible for organizing general staff events and public events, such as socials, workshops, profit shares, fundraisers and our magazine release party. This department is responsible for advance planning of the events, scheduling, ideation, emailing relevant entities, coordinating promotion with social media and working with Finance Staff for event budgeting.

Camp Texas Counselor for 3-Day retreat that introduces incoming freshman and transfer students to the life on the Forty Acres. Trainings are once a week at the beginning of the Spring Semester. Counselors also serve as a mentor to their campers the following Fall Semester to help ease the campers into their freshman year of college.- Chosen as a co-host/emcee for the 2024 Texas OU Fight Rally with over 3,000 attendees, interacting with Longhorn Fans, staff, guests, and introducing the Longhorn football team and supporting performers

- Showcase campus and student life through campus walking tours for prospective students, families, and other guests- Communicate with prospective students and families throughout the college search and enrollment process via phone, text, email and other methodsServe as panelists, lead presentations and serve as student hosts for on and off campus events for prospective and admitted students- Provide logistical support for events and the campus visit program by assisting with tasks such as event set up and take down- Support operations of Covert Admissions Welcome Center by greeting and assisting visitors and completing office tasks such as data entry or creating visitor and event packets

Student organization at the University of Texas for students interested in careers in the advertising industry with opportunities like agency tours and speaker sessions. TAG serves as the official collegiate chapter of the American Advertising Federation and has a strong affiliation with the Austin Advertising Federation. TAG helps students form a network of advertising professionals as well as a community of peers with similar interests in order to foster professional growth beyond the classroom. Currently have an upperclassman advertising mentor that I meet bi-weekly with.

Texas PRSSA is the UT Austin chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), and is one of the largest chapters in the nation with over 120 members. We provide out-of-the classroom professional development opportunities in communications and PR. Joint membership with National PRSSA, Access to industry professional guest speakers from a number of fields including environmental, hospitality, corporate, governmental and agency; Networking events with local professionals and peers, exclusive agency visits in Austin, resume and career building workshops, and preparation for Communication Career Fairs.

Preprofessional student organization that prepares and educates students interested in working on the business side of the entertainment industry. Activities include mock interviews, resume/cover letter workshops, exploring different career pathways, coverage workshops, and networking with alumni.

Representation of Latinx PR majors to grow professionally while celebrating our culture. Mission is to help students advance the practice of Hispanic public relations as a marketing discipline; to serve as the voice for students working in the Hispanic communications field nationwide; and to empower its members through resources, education, speakers, and a community that will support them throughout their careers.

Texas AMA is an organization that gives students the opportunity to learn about the different aspects of marketing and how to market themselves. AMA hosts our Speaker Series where marketing professionals from different industries come and talk about marketing in their field, workshops, AMA certifications in Market Research, Sales, and Career Development; we also have an in-house Creative Content Agency that works on Texas AMA's content creation, podcast, and blogs; and our community service is based around helping local startups and non-profits overcome their marketing challenges mainly through our Consulting Agency.

Long regarded as one of the top organizations at The University of Texas at Austin, HBSA continues to provide its 200+ members with unparalleled professional and leadership opportunities. Through the numerous programs HBSA hosts throughout the year, including our signature events, Company Night and Scoring Careers, HBSA has helped increase the number of Hispanic professionals entering the workforce. Our four pillars include Academics, Community Service, Professionalism, and Family. Currently have an upperclassman Marketing mentor.

Duties included enforcing line policies, helping guide lines into the theater for seating, passing out Audience Award Ballots after the screening, controlling the time for the Q&A after screening, meeting and speaking with actors, directors, and producers of films including Sunlight, ImPossible, Don’t Tell Larry, and Saltburn.

Acted and modeled for various projects around the Austin, Houston, and Dallas Area. Projects included: Community Coffee Commercial, Sonic Print AD OOH, Kobe Sound Print Ad, and Goodwill Print Ad.

Communicated with guests by taking orders through Drive Thru and In Store, made guests feel welcome and satisfied, ensured each menu offering is complete to perfection, and managed store’s necessities with stock in / outside restaurant, served on the ColdLine as well.

Participated in summer internship with Black Pear Books (an independent black-owned bookstore), promoting diversity, inclusion, and representation through literature; helping deliver book orders through packaging, labels, and organizing.
