Department Description: Held during the first four days of the Festival, the annual Writers Conference celebrates the writer’s contribution to film, television, and new media. It features panels and events that cover the art, craft, and business of storytelling as told by leading Hollywood showrunners, writers, directors, producers, managers, agents, and industry executives. Past panelists include David Benioff & D.B. Weiss, Greta Gerwig, Bill Hader, Lulu Wang, and Keenen Ivory Wayans. 2024 panelists include diverse perspective of industry roles from Netflix, Pixar, Amazon studios etc. Job Description: - Working directly with the Creative Director to coordinate panels, conduct research on potential speakers, topics, and industry trends; write copy for programmed panels, and assist with marketing efforts- This is an opportunity to gain experience in both the film and event planning industries- During the Conference, Creative interns will have the unique opportunity to act as Room Mangers for Conference events, allowing them to interact with and host our renowned panelists and moderators, manage a space, and gain access to more Conference content than any of our other volunteer or internship positions Job Responsibilities:- Assist Conference Department with Conference preparation including research on potential candidates, marketing initiatives, compiling materials, and pitching and writing content for AFF’s website- Manage panel rooms during the Conference, greeting panelists and moderators while leading a team of volunteers- Equal access in both event production and film industry- Assist with adapting some or all of the conference events for the virtual space

Camp Texas Counselor for 3-Day retreat that introduces incoming freshman and transfer students to the life on the Forty Acres. Trainings are once a week at the beginning of the Spring Semester. Counselors also serve as a mentor to their campers the following Fall Semester to help ease the campers into their freshman year of college.- Chosen as a co-host/emcee for the 2024 Texas OU Fight Rally with over 3,000 attendees, interacting with Longhorn Fans, staff, guests, and introducing the Longhorn football team and supporting performers

AMA hosts our Speaker Series where marketing professionals from different industries come and talk about marketing in their field, workshops, AMA certifications in Market Research, Sales, and Career Development; we also have an in-house Creative Content Agency that works on Texas AMA's content creation, podcast, and blogs; and our community service is based around helping local startups and non-profits overcome their marketing challenges mainly through our Consulting Agency.
