About Vanessa Marie Molina

I am a Bergen Community College graduate of 2019 with an Associates in Science. While there I was able to have the opportunity to have a Microbiology internship where I collected and analyzed different cell samples of the human body. From that experience, I developed a love for research which I carried to Rutgers University. From being a barista I was able to strengthen different styles of communication as well as met new people and develop conflict strategies and compromising abilities. Skill I continue to use and fortify in my professional and personal life. I received my B.S. in Public Health from Rutgers University and currently work as a Prevention Educator at CFPC in which I go into schools and speak to students from grades 2-6 about substances, resiliency skills, and positive coping strategies. I also have the opportunity to connect with older adults and veterans and help facilitate programs such as WISE that provides health and wellness education. While I enjoy education, I wish to follow a research career path and hope to work towards a master's degree that will aid me on my adventure in research involving adolescents and mental health/substance use.
