A behavioral health training consultant and licensed mental health provider with 20 years experience in program design, direct service provision, and organization wide learning and professional development. A leader in assessment, training, and strategy for nonprofits and agencies who thrives when working towards equity, healing justice, and sustainable long term change. In my current role at the Academy for Community Behavioral Health I design and pilot courses on Trauma Informed Organizational Practice for direct service staff, community organizers, supervisors, and organizational leadership. As a consultant I am piloting a healing justice program for directly impacted leaders and staff, prioritizing formerly incarcerated leaders and survivors of violence. When supported with tools and resources to tend to trauma, directly impacted leaders are the most insightful, adept, and skillful leaders across organizations. In times of heightened tension and conflict, it is often directly impacted leadership who first voice and enact the most needed meaningful changes at the organization and systems levels.
