As a researcher, I strive to conduct rigorous, high quality and interesting research to arrive at insights that are relevant for firms and/or individual consumers. I am passionate about my areas of study: the psychology that underlies the two sides of the pleasure coin. On one hand I study the pursuit of pleasure in my work dealing with art and aesthetics, emotions and luxury branding. On the other hand, I investigate strategies by which individuals can successfully manage the pull of pleasure in the real world by boosting self-control and learning to adopt strategies of personal success. My current area of research focus is Inclusive Design. As an educator, I work towards creating a learning environment that fosters student achievement and success. By student success, I mean not only facilitating competence in the area of study, but combining academic learning with character growth and enhanced commitment to help students succeed in their careers and their lives. I read broadly (psychology, business, religion, literature) and reflect deeply to achieve my two-fold personal vision: to live the best possible life, and, to make a difference in every project , cause or person in which I choose to engage.I curate information pertaining to three topics that reflect my expertise.
