• Coordinate security operations, activities and emergency response and crisis with local law enforcement, fire and other agencies with a staff of up to 25 corporate officers and 60 contract guards at multiple locations to safeguard company assets, employees, guests, or others on company property• Supervises the planned operation of detection devices, metal detectors, CCTV’s and other security hardware devices in use by the corporation to oversee safety and security, in the air operations and other secured areas• Ensures appropriate patrols of the air operations complex and all other base locations to prevent theft, vandalism and unauthorized access to FedEx property; participates in investigations as required• Investigate reporting, and advising on missing packages, pilferages, misconduct and other matters• Plan security for special and high-risk events• Prepare reports on internal investigations, losses, or violations of regulations, policies and procedures• Create, monitor, and implement security policies, programs or procedures to ensure compliance with internal security policies, and local, state, federal rules and regulations• Analyze and evaluate security operations to identify risks or opportunities for improvement• Conduct, support, or assist in governmental reviews, internal corporate evaluations, or assessments of the overall effectiveness of the facilities security processes• Collect and analyze security data to determine security needs, security program goals, or program accomplishments
