Legal Associate
CurrentAs a legal practitioner, I am adept at drafting and reviewing contracts for multiple clients, coming from various industries, which is useful in the expansion of my current and future career trajectory. Being consistent and competent plays a crucial role in ensuring I give my best to our clients.Reviewing and drafting of contracts are not limited to editing and tweaking available templates; rather, it's about curating contracts, and reviewing them thoroughly, including reading between the lines, and having a forward-thinking mindset about the intentions of every clause drafted and how that will benefit our clients in the long run. Implications and considerations shall be discussed and communicated. The weighing of outcomes and established precedents provides relevance in contractual drafting. It is not simply writing open-ended, elaborate clauses. I call this a form of art that not many are willing to master due to its lack of pizzazz. The basic review of clauses and the drafting of monotonous terms aren't exactly the glamorous life one can envision, as opposed to the generic idea of the legal profession as seen in TV series like 'SUITS' or the classic 'Legally Blonde'. To me, reviewing and drafting contracts are equally as important as being litigators. A simple, menial clause can cause irreparable damages to your client's business, career, and future if not carefully curated. In this firm, I spearheaded the contracts department, whereby I took initiatives in sourcing for clients by networking and building a good reputation in this industry. I hope to make a mark in this overlooked corner of the legal industry, making small, but impactful ripples as I continue giving the best for my clients.
