Medico-legal professional assisting doctors with negotiation around the legal landscape and medical practices understand their risks in running commercial enterprises. I find interesting the policies that govern the intersection of law and emerging technologies because these will drive future antitrust and shape ethical challenges around the use of these technologies. I am particularly interested in the ethical use of emerging technologies in healthcare and biometrics and negotiating those commercial demands broadly.To meet these challenges, I completed post graduate qualifications in 'Emerging Technologies and the Law' at RMIT in 2022. This is Australia’s first dedicated postgraduate program to empower legal professionals to deal with the radical changes of digital disruption in law and policy. I am admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of NSW and in 2019 I completed a Melbourne University Masters in Global Competition and Consumer Law. I am an ardent admirer of all pioneers who tried to cross the critical mass frontier.I have worked across a diverse range of legal disciplines including commercial property law, digital law and medical law in start up business operations to medium sized firms and inhouse roles. Pro-bono work, board appoints and mentoring young people are important on personal and professional levels. I am committed to effecting social and justice outcomes alongside a balance of purpose and profit focus.I have been involved in managing many complex stakeholder relationships of a highly sensitive nature. Policy negotiation and acceptance of terms for the use of social media involving young people during the period of the “Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Sexual Abuse” had been a social and personal highlight.
