I’m a business builder, digital media entrepreneur and technology innovator. I’ve been building, launching and re-launching businesses over a span of 25+ years. The businesses I’ve built are leaders in their verticals. I like creating things. As a teen, I was passionate about science and space. For me it’s always been about being in the forefront of innovation. For the past 25+ years, innovation has come in the form of media and technology. This led to my joining forces with Andy Russell to build and launch a digital media venture fund, Trigger Media, and to co-founding its two portfolio companies, InsideHook and Fevo (formerly Host Committee). Most recently, I oversaw SAP.iO Foundries in North America, which are SAP's accelerators for B2B enterprise startups. I'm now back to business building and working on Sugarwork, an AI-powered platform to help companies capture tacit institutional knowledge.Before Trigger, I was at the management consultancy McKinsey & Company in Amsterdam, London and New York. I was not your ‘typical’ consultant. My expertise was in growth. I identified new business opportunities and led the launch of businesses for clients including a new Internet access provider for the Dutch market, a new daily national newspaper, and revamped digital sites for a European magazine publisher. Nothing gives me more fulfillment than to see the fruits of my labor having an impact. Such as the creation of 70+ jobs through the companies I’ve built from scratch in InsideHook and Fevo, or accelerating 87 early-stage B2B enterprise startups, 80% of which are led by women or diverse founders.In my free time, I’m thinking or reading about what’s next, while running after my two children. I’m looking for the next wave of opportunity that will make a big social impact in areas typically underinvested by businesses and governments (such as clean tech, global health, elder market).
