Vanessa Womack is an Inclusive Community Development Consultant at Activation Capital, where she leads a region-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy for the growing life sciences industry in Central Virginia. She is also a College Instructor at Bryant & Stratton College, where she teaches business courses and facilitates learning outcomes. She is a BoardSource Certified Governance Consultant and a skilled facilitator in leadership, DEI, soft skills, strategic planning, and team dynamics.With over 15 years of consulting and facilitating experience, Vanessa has developed and delivered successful online courses on DEI topics, such as "Managing A Diverse Team" on LinkedIn Learning and "Practicing DEI Can Improve Organizational Culture" on Listenable. She has also conducted governance and strategic planning training for health centers and nonprofits in various states. As a published author of two STEM-related children's books, she is passionate about increasing awareness and engagement for STEM/STEAM education for children of color. She holds an MBA from Averett University and a bachelor's degree from Baruch College.
