I am a junior at Crofton House School interested in political philosophy, media theory, and urban studies. Passionate about language as a boundless vessel of expression, I enjoy exploring it through both written and spoken forms. As a writer, my work has been published and recognized by the New York Times, the League of Canadian Poets, and the John Locke Institute, amongst others. In spoken formats, I have competed at many prestigious debate and public speaking competitions worldwide, recently earning a spot on Team Canada Speech. I am particularly drawn to how language can reflect social structures and injustices, using its power to shape perspectives and drive change. This passion for advocacy has led me to gain work experience with NGOs like UNICEF, Plan International Canada, and Amnesty International, bringing my youth perspective to critical discussions. When I’m not engaged in advocacy or academic pursuits, you’ll likely find me on stage. As an avid performer in the musical theatre circuit for nearly 10 years, I have performed in professional and amateur productions across North America, whether it be Off-Broadway musicals in New York or plays touring across Canada. Looking ahead, I aspire to pursue a pre-law track in post-secondary education.
