I am a passionate innovator and founder at Enosis an LA based one-stop-shop for enterprise & tech companies, academic institutions, and startups to develop R&D and joint innovation in various verticals using Realtime-3D, spatial computing, AI, IoT, distributing computing systems and other real-time technologies.With a PhD in Whole Body Interaction Design and a Msc in Design and Interactive Media, I have over 20 years of experience in creating immersive and interactive products that leverage the power of media, immersion, spatial computing and user centered design.My mission is to apply design thinking in innovation (Innovation by Design) and use the most suitable and resilient technologies to solve real-world problems, create positive impact and serve various industry verticals, such as healthcare, education, entertainment, and social enterpriseSome of the work I am most proud of include the Bohemian Rhapsody VR experience, a collaboration with Google and Queen that showcases the potential of immersive music in VR; the RelieVRx platform, the first FDA approved medical VR therapeutic product for chronic pain that I oversaw as the Chief Design Officer at Applied VR; our work in VR and social justice with the London School of Economics, the development of a role-playing structured conversation online simulation platform for leadership training with UNDP and Arizona State University and our ongoing collaboration with Deloitte, JPL/NASA and the RWS GroupAs part of the leadership team for Medical Extended Reality at the Medical Device Innovation Consortium (MDIC) I volunteer my time and expertise analyzing with a team of specialists, pioneers and the FDA, Image Quality and Human Factors requirements for the clinical use of XR devicesI love teaching and mentoring and as a faculty at USC, the School of Cinematic Arts and the Viterbi School of Engineering from 2010 to 2020 I taught the CSCI 538 AR/VR and Mixed Reality course to 450+ students, performed research at the Creative Media and Behavioral Health Center and the Mixed Reality Studio, collaborated with ICT and presented work worldwide at academic conferences CHI, SIGGRAPH prestigious venues and festivals such as Tribeca, Sundance, the Future of Storytelling in NY and the WEF in DavosFrom 1995 to 2012 I managed to drop out from Physics, study Sculpture and Environmental Art at the Glasgow School of Arts, and receive my MSc and PhD from the University of Edinburgh under full scholarship by the AHRC 🇬🇧I have two boys, 4 and 5/half years old and as you might have guessed…they are trouble!
