Teach Marketing Management class for MBA program

Plan, budget, organize, manage, and monitor projects for a variety of private, public and government clients, of varying sizes. Develop and oversee complex e-messaging and web-based project plans. Supervise and execute all phases of the project lifecycle. Work with production staff to supervise day-to-day tasks and project assignments.Develop social marketing strategies for clients.

Create and act as RSCVA’s first Outdoor Adventure Manager, responsible for promoting and selling the Reno-Tahoe area as an outdoor adventure destination. Develop Outdoor Adventure Program including: research and development of the Outdoor Adventure content of the RSCVA Web page, design and facilitation of online adventure/hotel packages, creation of the Adventure Tourism and Outdoor Recreation section of the RSCVA’s annual Travel Planner, creation and direction of Reno’s first Outdoor Adventure Steering Committee, and integration of outdoor adventure into RSCVA marketing programs. Develop Ski Program.Develop International Program.Organize and conduct familiarization tours, press trips, and sales presentations. Act as liaison between the RSCVA, local and state tourism bureaus, adventure outfitters, ski resorts, and hotels. Prepare and maintain annual budget.

Assist the Tourism Department in the planning and implementation of special events and web-based sales promotions. Coordinate, organize, and lead on-site familiarization visits by selected groups of tour operators, wholesalers, travel agents. Perform tourism sales research providing sales managers with prospects for concentrated solicitation, including administration of e-marketing and direct mail programs. Work with the Director of Tourism to generate reports as dictated by upper management and the Board of Directors. Maintain relationships with contacts in six Central and South American countries developed during work as Hispanic Specialist, including continued marketing and ongoing familiarization tours.
