CurrentMaintain Administrative Law Judge's (ALJ) calendar of cases; schedule meetings based upon knowledge of ALJ preference and commitments; apprise ALJs of any changes in status of their cases; establish and maintain files to provide ALJ with current status information on hearings, provide general information regarding a particular case to the ALJ; act as an intermediary when arranging conference calls in a manner that does not jeopardize any prior discussion with the ALJ and all parties. Prepare and often draft Orders on motions using appropriate language for inclusion in orders, composes and prepares hearing notices from information obtained from case files for ALJs' signatures and distribution to all parties involved; replies to inquiries requiring and not requiring ALJs attention; research and verify citations, statutes and other appropriate quoted laws, orders, decisions and other legal materials in ALJs decisions; perform reference and research assignments as requested by the ALJ for decision preparation, correspondence, and other related documents; prepares an appendix to decisions based on knowledge of ALJ style, format, and content; and uses of computer and other automated equipment.Uses office automation systems NxGen, Word, Excel to produce various types pf pretrial motions and prepare Orders to show just cause where such procedure is required. Facilitate case processing is properly recorded and documented, and that case actions, case files and all other case materials are complete and in order before release from the office. Establishes system for effective control of cases and case related matters coming to and issued from the office.Maintain Calender of case assignments and schedules appointments and meetings. Remind supervisor of appointments and meetings providing background material as needed prior to the meetings. Reschedules meetings and/or appointments due to conflict. Arrange and manager travel for ALJs.
