The City and the LightChildren’s workshop for children aged 13-17 yearsGuided by: Ksenija Smoljanić and Vanja Enbulajev, Center for Promotion of ScienceIn a spirit of the theme of this year’s BINA, „City Energy“, within the exhibition titled „50 years of acrhitecture of London“, the Center for the Promotion of Science will organize a workshop for the young aged 13-17 years. In twelve days, its participants will gradually make architectural scale models of centers of the two European cities – London and Belgrade. Through their work on scale models together with moderators, as well as a brief presentation on the theme of sustainability, the participants will get acquainted with structures of these cities, position of the centers, relationship between cities and their rivers, altitudes, as well as ways in which they use and save energy. In order to draw attention to the use of renewable energy source for the purpose of environmental conservation, after completing workshop part of the program the lighting will be installed in the scale models to which electricity will be supplied by renewable energy sources.
